Trained Nurses Association of India(TNAI)

The T.N.A.I. is the national professional professional organization for nurses. The Association was inaugurated in 1909. TNAI or Trained Nurses Association of India is aiming to standardize, upgrade, develope nursing education and to elevate nursing education, improve the living and working conditions of the nurses and also develop the educational conditions available for nursing, improve the economic standards of the nurses in India. The main objectives of TNAΙ are to uphold the dignity and honour of nursing profession, promote a sense of spirit de-corps among all the nurses, enabling members to take counsel together on matters relating to their profession. TNAI is an association by which the nurses are moulded accordingly through constant support, inspiration, guidance as well as encouragement. So it helps the nurses to update their knowledge and thereby improves the professional as well as personal skills.

The TNAI members of Samaritan college of nursing work together for the upliftment of the college. TNAI members celebrate special days along with the involvement of students especially the nurses day, world health day, world heart day, breast feeding week etc. The members are participating in various workshops and conferences and conducting staff development programmes in every 2 months. They guide the BSc nursing students in various research activities and some of them are publishing their articles in the journal. Routinely our college delegate the duty to one TNAI member (Ms.Divya Thomas, Associate professor) to transfer all the students from SNA to TNAI organization.
